Irn Bru "If" advert

I'm no longer a consumer of this particular 'golden nectar', which might go some way to explaining why I don't fit any of the criteria meted out here (anyone who knows me care to challenge that?) in a new TV ad loosely based on the Kipling poem.

No doubt many don't consider me a proper Scot anyway.

Actually I do remember very occasionally being called 'jock' when I lived in London ... but it tended to annoy me.

Drench Your Brains!

Cute little ad that's recently appeared featuring Thunderbirds' resident geek Brains putting on a nifty dance performance to 1992 dance fave, "Rhythm Is A Dancer". The dance styles do veer off into a Gene Kelly or Chippendale stylee at moments but it's great fun.

The Ting Tings - That's Not My Name

Sorry for another tardy post. Just as it has relinquished the UK No1 single spot I'm getting around to posting "That's Not My Name". The Ting Tings'just released album is probably going to be on my shopping list.

The previous single from the album, Great DJ, is here.

Apprentice Totty - Shirtless Lee

Some kind soul uploaded this to "The Lee McQueen Appreciation Club" on Facebook, so I just had to share further. I must have missed this episode or blinked or something.

Anyone got a still of Alex flashing his bum in a kilt for the greetings card episode? I'm surprised I've not found it yet. Mind you, I did miss that episode (sigh).

Glad to say both Lee and Alex are in the final five for next week, though presumably three will be fired.

In the Night Garden

Something of a guilty pleasure this.

Even though I can enjoy fetish gay porn one minute, equally I can enjoy this mad and charming kids' show the next, Sir Derek Jacobi's warm yet authoritative voiceover is a big part of it.

"There Are Worse Things I Could Do" - Stockard Channing (1978)

I had pangs of nostalgia tonight when I found this gay anthem of a tune,

Yes, it's from "Grease".

Postcards to the blog ...

In a first for me, I can actually load these direct from camera to laptop then directly from laptop to blog as Tralee Bay is wi-fi-ed up 24 hours a day! In fact I could even be outside sunbathing as I do this, but the screen glare wouldn't be ideal.

The first two pics above are the almost iconic town front at Oban, while the other three are adjacent to the Tralee Bay camp site this morning.

Weather really is gorgeous, with a fresh breeze able to take the worst off the heat.

Skins Totty

Thanks to Stuart for alerting me to this new pic of the ever-shy actor Mitch Hewer.

Daytime totty

Ironically, while I was ill I managed to catch an episode of BBC One's daytime soap, "Doctors".
I was particularly taken with this actor, Matt Kennard, who plays practice nurse Archie Hallam.
Oh how I wished to sample his bedside manner!

The World From Here ... literally

Sorry if I seem to have gone down a black hole or passed on or something, but I moved house at the weekend, followed by several days of being poorly - I think it was a bug later exacerbated by me sitting in direct sunlight (and I should know better).
Hopefully things will crank up again from today, though there is the small matter of me being on holiday in Argyll all next week (a pre-booking which now seems wildly untimely). I'm praying for wi-fi access!
The two pics are as advertised in the post title - views from my new abode in downtown Dunfermline. Some of you may even recognise the area.
I did take some indoors ones but they weren't really good enough to post.
