Apache - Incredible Bongo Band

I woke up this morning ... (actually around 1am as I'd gone for a 'nap' at quarter to seven last night) and Janice Long was playing this on Radio 2. How can this epic track have passed me by so long? It's fantastic! Though it initially appears like a funked-up James Last cover of the Shadows "Apache" it's actually by Michael Viners' Incredible Bongo Band and dates from 1973. It didn't strike me as a 'hip-hop anthem' ahead of its time, but apparently so.
